SOCIAL EVENT VENUES

The Buta Palace is one of Azerbaijan's foremost venues for large scale, fully catered gala events. The large, low-rise building is a cunning melange of 21st century construction with local cultural and historical design motifs, creating an environment where tradition and technology come seamlessly together. It is considered the ultimate venue for Azerbaijan's most prestigious wedding celebrations but has worked equally well as host to larger-scale club-style events including the MTV White Party and performances by international celebrity artists including 50-Cent, David Vendetta, Akon and Pitbull. The Buta Palace's stunning main banqueting hall creates a ‘caravanserai' vibe through faceted double-level arch-work that produces atmosphere without succumbing to kitschy melodrama. Stretching over 1,570 sqm, the hall is equipped with cutting edge sound and light equipment and a range of assemblage possibilities for differing forms and sizes of operational space up to a maximum capacity of some 2000 visitors. There's also a second smaller hall of just over 650 sqm designed for conferences and presentations of up to 400 delegates. The Buta Palace sits directly beside the high-speed airport highway at km 18.5, just 4.5 km from the terminals of Baku's international airport and two minutes away from Baku Expo Centre. Ample parking provides space for some 800 vehicles.

Ideal for events that might require a strong social element, Elektra Hall is an extraordinary multipurpose events hall that opened in 2014 with capacity for 2,500 people offering several bars and a stage for live performance as well as state of the art Audio-Visual technology. The 60-capacity VIP lounge on the second floor has a stylishly laid back interior using chocolate and wood tones counterpointed with exposed ceiling tubes and low-slung comfy seating. It has a direct connection to the cutting edge Enerji club next door. That's a new club/lounge/restaurant spread over two floors club: the ground level is a lounge bar-terrace themed section called "Red Fire”, the mezzanine level includes the restaurant/supper club "Black Diamond”. The complex situated in a contemporary development that is rapidly transforming and gentrifying the formerly industrial area and old port zone of Bayil, 2 km south of Baku's old city centre. It's a short walk beyond National Flag Square, home to the world's second tallest flag mast - which was in fact the world's tallest until 2011.
