Getting around in Bilbao is easy and simple, thanks to its efficient and sustainable transport network. The city has one of the most modern metro systems in the world, which runs throughout the metropolitan area out to the beaches; a tram system which connects the key areas of the city and bus routes which reach the furthest corners of the urban network.
Nevertheless, the compact structure of the city encourages people to make regular journeys on foot or even bike. A network of commuter trains mean that people can easily travel to the nearby coastal towns and nature parks.
Airport transportation to the city: Bus A3247 BILBAO-Airport: operates every day of the year, with services every 20 minutes in Summer, and 30 minutes in Winter, connecting with Termibus, the Bilbao bus and coach terminus. Before reaching the end of the route, this bus makes three stops in the city centre.
