Florence airport (FLR) is one of the two main airports, just 4 kilometers from the city centre. It serves the key European destinations (London, Paris, Frankfurt,..); the trip by taxi from the airport to the centre takes about 20 minutes and has a fixed rate of € 20.
Pisa's Galilei Airport is an international airport located about 80 kilometres from Florence and linked to the city by train or by a shuttle bus service. The journey time is approximately 70 minutes.
All foreigners intending to enter Italy must provide the documentation required to justify the reasons and duration of their stay as well as, in some prescribed cases, the availability of adequate economic means and lodging.
In some cases you need a visa, application for which can be made at the Italian Diplomatic and Consular Representations in your country of residence.
