City Guided Tours

  • City-run guided tours in Spanish of historical and cultural sites are all free of charge for the public.
  • Many museums and cultural centres - such as the Teatro Colón or the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes have their own guided tours available in English and other languages; check their websites directly for more information.

Bicycle Tours

  • With over 130km of bicycle lanes and fairly flat terrain, BA is a great city for exploring on bike. 
  • BA's tourism authorities offer guided tours by bicycle in Spanish, English and Portuguese. Tours take in the Palermo lakes, the Rosedal, Planetarium, Hippodrome, Japanese Gardens, and the MALBA, Bellas Artes, José Hernández and Sívori museums.
  • The ‘Parks & Monuments Cycle Tour' takes place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 10.30am and 3.30pm throughout the summer. The ‘Parks & Museums Cycle Tour' takes place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays at 2.30pm and 6pm throughout the summer. Both tours start at the iconic Planetarium (corner of Av. Sarmiento and Belisario Roldán), take around 2 hours.
  • Some agencies in the city rent out bikes or offer biking tours in English.

Alternative Tours

  • Tango tours are a very popular option in Buenos Aires for those interested in the historical context and culture behind tango music and dance. Buenos Aires also has a vibrant street art culture, with both Fodor's and the Huffington Post listing Buenos Aires as one of the top cities in the world to see street art. Other interesting tours offered in the city include historical tours, photography tours, food tours, parrilla tours, football tours, polo tours, running tours and shopping tours.
