Berlin is No. 1 travel destination in Germany.

Along with London and Paris, Berlin is one of the favourite city-destinations in Europe.

Berlin is champion regarding growth rates (2013: annual growth + 8.2% in overnight stays).

Turnover x 2 in 10 years: The tourism and convention industry in Berlin reached (in 2011) a record turnover of 10.3 billion euro - the figure has doubled within past ten years.

Berlin as a convention city: for ten years now, Berlin has been among the top five cities for conventions of international associations worldwide.

2013: More than 11 million visitors and 26.9 million overnight stays. Approx. a quarter of all hotel overnight stays are those of conventions guests. Within the last ten years, both visitors and overnight stays have more than doubled.

Every day an average of 500,000 guests are staying in Berlin. That sums up to a total of 182 million days spent by visitors every year.
