Around 45% of tourists in Paris come on business - whether it is for a meeting, a business event or a professional event.
Every year, 450 or so trade fairs and trade shows are held in Paris, drawing some 10 million visitors and 100,000 exhibiting companies; more than 900 congresses bring between 600,000 and 700,000 participants to Paris.
