MEETING FACTS

A modern metropolis and a cosy village

If you have never been to Oslo before, you have something waiting for you!

Oslo is known for being a city of contrasts and multitude. Its natural beauty, in combination with all the facilities of a modern metropolis, adds to the charm of a city often called "the world's biggest village".

The centre of Oslo is small and compact; most hotels, meeting facilities, shopping and entertainment areas are within walking distance, making it easy to organise meetings here.

Its beautiful natural surroundings, its varied architecture, and its multinational inhabitants contribute to the city's unique atmosphere. More modern districts include the bustling Aker Brygge area, a rehabilitated old shipyard, with its Mediterranean style shops, restaurants and cafés.

And the development that is taking place at the moment, with focus on design and modern architecture, will make Oslo one of the most exciting and vibrant cities in northern Europe.

Yet, the old-time charm is always right there on our doorstep.

A destination with a well-developed conference infrastructure

Easily accessible, Oslo is served by 32 airlines, and a high speed train links the airport to the city centre in 20 minutes.

Oslo has close to 10.000 hotel rooms, from first class hotels to budget accommodation.
Our convention and exhibition centre is located 10 minutes from the city centre by train. It can host up to 6000 participants and has, together with a 340 rooms on-site hotel, very flexible facilities with a total of 35 meeting rooms of different sizes.

A large domestic conference market ensures the continued quality of the product.
