SOCIAL EVENT VENUES

Oslo has many options for dinners and events in special surroundings.

For memorable evening events, there are lots of possibilities.

  • Viking Feast at Tusenfryd Amusement Park is something else! Start the event with a Viking journey that takes you 1000 years back in time. Walk through the giant dragon head and sail on Vikingtoktet (Viking raid), a thrilling adventure with Leiv Eriksson. Then enjoy a Viking evening with traditional food and drink. Suitable for up to 150 persons.
  • Gamle Logen - The Masonic Lodge is Oslo's oldest and most beautiful venue for artistic and cultural events. Originally built as a Masonic lodge in 1836, and is today an important centre for cultural events, concerts, conferences, balls and banquets for up to 450 persons.
  • A dinner cruise on board a vintage sail ship on the Oslo Fjord is one of the most popular activities in the summer months. Sail among the skerries and enjoy traditional food in a very charming setting. Max 800 persons (on 3-4 boats)
  • The Mini Bottle Gallery contains the world's largest collection of miniature bottles, with 53,000 exhibited in different installations in a 3-story building. Available for private functions for 50-150.
  • Activities are available in the Holmenkollen area this area in summer and winter. To combine activities with a hot meal in a tipi with open fire makes it hard to believe that one is 20 minutes from the city. For up to 80 persons.
  • The Dyna Lighthouse is from 1874 and is Oslo's most famous beacon. The lighthouse is located on the skerry "Dyna” right outside Bygdøy, 5 minutes by boat from the pier in the city centre and the lighthouse keeper lived here with his family in the old days. Today, up to 40 people can have dinner here, in a truly unique setting.
  • The Polar Ship "FRAM” was the safe haven for some of the most famous polar explorers and adventurers. She is the strongest wooden ship ever built and still holds the records for sailing farthest north and farthest south. FRAM and the breathtaking stories from her expeditions continue to create excitement among audiences from all over the world almost 100 years after the ship retired from active duty. Onboard the FRAM there are lots of good stories to be told! Have dinner for 16 in the "Captain's Lounge” or on deck for up to 250 people.
  • Ballroom is an event venue in downtown Oslo, in the building where the bank Hypotekerbanken was once located. There are still some traces of the old bank, such as an open vault door, classy colomns and a protected glass ceiling over the dancefloor. Velvet curtains down to the floor frame the lounge department. The venue has one large bar and several smaller mobile bars.
