Recent Labor Agreement:

Thanks to an agreement between McCormick Place,Navy Pier, MPEA, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 134, and International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 2, Chicago is a more attractive destination for conventions and trade shows. As of 2012, IATSE stagehands may complete a type of work — including that involving audio-visual, lighting and sound equipment — that was previously completed only by IBEW electricians.

Exhibitors' Bill of Rights:

Show managers and exhibitors can perform their own work in any size booth, using their own ladders or hand tools, cordless tools, power tools and other tools designated by McCormick Place.

Green Meetings:

McCormick Place is the world's largest convention centre certified as a sustainable venue. Facility energy-saving projects include a commitment to offsetting 100 per cent of its electricity usage with clean, affordable wind energy.
