In 2016, a bridge will link Hong Kong more closely with Macau and Zhuhai. The travel time will be shortened to 45 minutes between these locations

Transport between Hong Kong and Mainland China is efficient - apart from daily flights, we are linked by road, rail and ferry. In the coming few years, there will be new infrastructure to make cross-border travel even more convenient.
A high-speed rail, for example, is expected to be completed in 2015. By then, it will take only 45 minutes, instead of one and a half hours now, to travel between Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
